To prepare for your blood draw:
Bring your photo ID.
Bring a copy of your blood draw requisition form.
Fast for 12 hours before the blood draw
Drink 12-16 oz of water within 60 minutes of your blood draw to ensure proper hydration.
Drink only water the morning of the blood draw (no coffee, no tea).
Schedule your blood draw for before 10 am.
Do not engage in strenuous exercise for two days before the blood test.
Do not take supplements within 24 hours of your blood draw.
Do not take supplements containing Biotin within 72 hours of your blood draw.
Continue medication use as recommended by your physician.
Do not consume alcohol within 24 hours of your blood draw.
Wait 3 days after flying before doing blood work.
If you're sick or on medication that could affect your results, wait until you've recovered and off the medication before getting your bloodwork done.
